HELLO!

My name is Lindsey Miranda and I would love to be a part of your team!

I have been in the photography business for 8+ years and throughout that time I worked towards getting my Bachelor’s in Fine Art Photography and my Masters in Graphic Design. After graduating with my MA, I continued with my photography and videography business until moving to Tampa, FL!

In my time off, I still like being creative and practicing my hand lettering and illustration skills. I love cooking new recipes, reading books and playing video games! I have three cats and a husband, who keeps me from being a crazy cat lady! Barely… 🙂

Branding

The Forsyth Farmers Market in Savannah was up and coming and needed a fun new look to entice people to shop there weekly.
For this branding project, on top of creating a unique hand-lettered alphabet, I came up with a number of take-aways and fun products that would keep the farmers market on people’s mind when they were in their kitchen or writing a grocery list.

I researched the target audience and spent time at the market speaking with everyone from market managers and farmers all the way to people who attended the market weekly or were just passing through. The design solutions I came up with varied from branded aprons and notepads to a food truck that would deliver farm fresh goods to people throughout the week.

Beautiful Layouts

Though I love complex branding and hand lettered text, I love working in InDesign creating layouts and making use of negative spaces and beautiful grids. Even while creating hand-drawn text, a grid must be used to ensure each letter is properly proportioned and that the entirety of the text is visibly pleasing.

PORTRAITS

I love meeting new people and making a connection with them and I think this really helps when taking someones photograph. A lot of people can feel nervous in front of the camera so I do my best to make conversation and give people time to relax between photos. Check out my portraits and other photo galleries!

Design with Purpose

Design Thinking

My process takes into account what leading experts have to say, how the current target audience reacts and how we can improve the user’s experience. Design Thinking is a great way to make informed design decisions and can be applied to many aspects of design and marketing.

Empathise

Learn from the experts and spend time with the target audience to understand exactly what is needed.

Analyze and Define

Identify the problems existing within the current market, and narrow it down to the essential issues that need to be solved.

Ideate

This stage is where the creative magic happens.
Brainstorming, sketching, and exploring ideas to find unique solutions.

Prototyping

After deciding on a few solutions from the idea phase, these solutions will be implimented in a rough draft format in order to see what works and what doesn’t. Experimentation perfects the end product.

Testing

Testing the product or design is one of the most educational steps in the process and can identify what works and what doesn’t work. Sometimes this sends us back to one of the previous steps but it ensures things actually work the way they are intended.

Using Design Thinking

These steps can be used, not only in branding,
product design, and other ‘design specific’ fields, but in just about any business to innovate and bring good ideas to the forefront.

Process

It’s all about the process! Design thinking ensures that the solutions we come up with are good and effective. Without this process,
it is more of a gamble.
